King Mountain summit could open to public through 161-acre donation to Marin County

The crown of King Mountain may be donated for public use, providing access to commanding vistas of Mount Tamalpais, Tiburon and San Pablo Bay.

On Tuesday, the Marin County Open Space District Board of Directors will vote on a proposal that would add 161 acres, including the summit of King Mountain, to the King Mountain Open Space Preserve.
