Two people whose families are describing them as good Samaritans who were injured when they stepped in to protect others during an altercation at a Fairfield bar last month have GoFundMe campaigns set up to help them through their recovery.

The altercation took place at Thompson’s Corner Saloon, a beloved watering hole in the Old Cordelia section of the city that has been voted “best bar” by local publications.
