Three incumbents running unopposed in Napa County elections have kept their seats, according to results from Tuesday night. Approximately 138,019 people live in Napa County. Results show that 1,107 people voted in person at polling stations around the county, and 15,049 voted by mail.
“We haven’t counted all of them,” said Napa County Assessor John Tuteur on Tuesday evening, referring to ballots cast.
“It looks like people are voting later than usual in this election because of the confusion on the governor’s ballot,” Tuteur said.
Napa County Superintendent of Schools Joshua Schultz has retained his position, with 9,056 votes cast. Schultz starts his four-year term following his appointment in 2025 after the departure of Barbara Nemko, the longest-serving school superintendent in Napa County’s history.
The county has held onto its all-female Board of Supervisors. With 1,728 votes, Joelle Gallagher will continue on as supervisor for District 1, which encompasses several Napa neighborhoods.
Anne Cottrell will stay on as supervisor for District 3 after netting 2,463 votes. District 3 includes Calistoga, St. Helena, Yountville, Angwin, Pope Valley, Lake Berryessa and parts of the city of Napa.
Both Gallagher and Cottrell will enter their second four-year term, ending in 2030.
