The San Francisco Zoo & Gardens is offering free weekday admission for children ages 11 and younger throughout June as part of a summer promotion aimed at making the zoo more accessible to families.
The offer runs from June 1 through June 30 and applies to weekdays only. Up to five children may receive free admission with each paying adult, zoo officials said.
Visitors who purchase tickets online will be charged a $1 processing fee per ticket, including free children’s tickets. No processing fee applies to tickets purchased at the zoo’s ticket windows, according to zoo officials.
“With kids out of school, we wanted to continue opportunities for them to learn and explore, and make the Zoo accessible for young kids,” said Cassandra Costello, CEO & Executive Director.
The zoo also continues to offer discounted admission through EBT/SNAP and Museums for All programs, allowing eligible visitors to purchase up to four tickets for $5 each.
Free passes are also available through participating libraries via the Discover & Go program, zoo officials said.
The zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
