Ashle Crocker, Santa Rosa’s assistant city attorney since 2017, has been promoted to city attorney by the City Council.

Her appointment, announced Friday, is effective June 3. She succeeds Teresa Stricker, who served in the position since 2023.

“Throughout her years of service to our city, she’s shown excellent judgment and dedication to public service,” Mayor Mark Stapp said of Crocker. “She has extensive experience, and she is well-respected by her colleagues and our community.”

Crocker received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, Santa Cruz and her law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
