The Walnut Creek Library Foundation celebrated authors, readers and library patrons at a gala event April 25, raising thousands of dollars to support library programs.
The 15th Annual Authors Gala attracted local writers such as Eugene Rodriguez (Richmond based author of “Bird of Four Hundred Voices”), Brian Copeland (actor, comedian, author and playwright known for his “Not a Genuine Black Man”) and Diana R. Chambers (author of “The Secret War of Julia Child”) and many others (listed below). In addition to tickets for the event, a live auction, raffles, book signings and tables full of donated trips, items and other goodies were on offer. All helped the foundation raise money to support e-dollections, virtual and onsite services for children, and other Walnut Creek library programs.
