Fremont police plan to conduct training with what the department called “limited occasional pyrotechnics” near Stevenson Point Tech Park on Wednesday.
“Please do not be alarmed by the presence of law enforcement officers in the area,” police said in a press release Tuesday. “We do not anticipate any disruptions to the community.”
Police said the training would be conducted in the area of 7200 Stevenson Blvd. — the location of the Fremont Fire Department’s Tactical Training Center — from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
One eastbound lane of Stevenson Boulevard near Eureka Drive will be blocked for several hours, police said.
The training may involve emergency vehicles parked in the area, police said.
