The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office was asked to prosecute more cases in 2025 than the prior year for the fourth year in a row, according to an annual report released this week. 

District Attorney Diana Becton received nearly 21,000 requests for prosecutions, more than any other year since 2018, when she was elected.
