Rescue divers and other personnel with the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday took advantage of the calm before the forecasted storms to search the waters off Lovers Point in Pacific Grove to look for Erica Fox, who disappeared in the water over the weekend.
Official search efforts for Fox were called off on Monday, but the Sheriff’s Office and the Port Richmond-based Bedrock Ocean Exploration team conducted over six hours of Side Scan Sonar reading, or ocean floor mapping, by way of an autonomous underwater vehicle. By nightfall she was not located, the Sheriff’s Office said.
