A pair of U.S. Department of Homeland Security agents visited the Cherryland Elementary School campus in Hayward last week looking for information about a student and then left on their own, according to school officials.
The agents came onto campus at about 9:30 a.m. on Friday with a subpoena looking for information about the student, according to Hayward Unified School District spokesperson Michael Bazeley.
