The Mount Diablo Unified School District, the largest school system in Contra Costa County, has reached a new contract with teachers calling for a 2.3% salary increase retroactive to July 1.

Further pay increases were negotiated for 2026-27 and 2027-28, along with fully paid Kaiser Permanente health benefits as part of the CalPERS Health Program beginning Jan. 1, 2026, the school district said Friday night.
