Mayor Daniel Lurie has announced four new appointments to city commissions, saying the appointees will help strengthen local government and advance San Francisco’s economic recovery.
Michael Adams was named to the Sunshine Ordinance Task Force. Al Perez and McKenna Quint were appointed to the Arts Commission, and Nancy Tung to the Airport Commission, the Mayor’s office noted.
“These new appointees bring decades of experience and a commitment to public service, leadership in their communities, and effective government,” said Mayor Lurie. “Their expertise will help us strengthen city government and drive San Francisco’s economic comeback. I’m looking forward to working with each of them.”
Adams is the founder of Civilization Lab, a nonprofit promoting civic engagement.
Meanwhile, Perez is a creative director and executive director of the Pistahan Filipino Parade and Festival.
Additionally, Quint is an operations and nonprofit leader with experience in tech, philanthropy and education programs.
Lastly, Tung is a veteran prosecutor who leads the Vulnerable Victims Unit at the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office.
