A Meals on Wheels program that’s delivered “Breakfast Bags” to more than 500 vulnerable seniors a week in Contra Costa County is running out of money.

The program was launched in 2020 to add support for the isolated during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, officials said Saturday in a press release. It was financed by county funding and temporary pandemic relief.
