HEALTH CARE AND FOOD ASSISTANCE providers in Contra Costa County spoke out against local impacts projected from the recently passed Republican spending bill they say will be devastating to residents who rely on those services. 

U.S. Rep. John Garamendi, D-Fairfield, joined leaders at separate events Thursday at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano calling for a reversal of the cuts outlined in the so-called One Big Beautiful Bill.
