Mendocino to host celebration of women’s suffrage, 105 years since 19th Amendment

A celebration of women gaining the right to vote 105 years ago will take place in Mendocino on Sunday.

For decades, suffragists across the country fought for the right for women to vote, ushering in the monumental passing of the 19^th Amendment on Aug. 18, 1920. It was added to the Constitution on Aug. 26.
