Work and closures on the Benicia-Martinez Bridge have been suspended for up to four weeks due to supply delays, while inspections and repairs on the Carquinez Bridge continue, Caltrans said.

The projects, part of the T1 Steel Weld Inspection Project, are described by the state agency as critical to maintaining the structural integrity of both spans. Caltrans said in an advisory Monday that despite the pause, closures on the Benicia-Martinez Bridge are set to end in December.
