It was a day and night of new records with the most memorable being Brittany Force’s 343.16 mph with a 3.645 elapsed time Top Fuel run in the Monster dragster at 9:10 p.m. on Friday night reinforcing her title of the NHRA’s fastest driver.

The run gave her the provisional No. 1 spot the 37th annual NHRA Denso Sonoma Nationals at Sonoma Raceway that continues through Sunday.
