A free water shuttle pilot program between Alameda and Oakland is expanding as it enters its second year to include service on Tuesdays and add more weekend trips.
The shuttle program was a project initiated by the city of Alameda that launched in July 2024 as a two-year trial to run water taxis from Jack London Square in Oakland to Bohol Circle Immigrant Park in Alameda. The Port of Oakland also contributed funding.
