Eight people who died after a boat capsized amid stormy weather on Lake Tahoe last weekend have been identified, including some who were Bay Area residents, according to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities responded around 3 p.m. Saturday to reports of a capsized boat near D.L. Bliss State Park. Six people were found dead that day while two survived and two others were missing. The bodies of the two missing people were later recovered, sheriff’s officials said.
