Officials have celebrated the grand opening of the largest affordable housing project in San Mateo County, the 147-unit Midway Village near the Cow Palace in Daly City.
The celebration coincided with groundbreaking Friday for 113 affordable apartments and a childcare center at Midway Village 2 to be finished by the end of 2027.
