THE CALIFORNIA STATE RENTERS’ CAUCUS announced this week a package of bills aimed at expanding renter protections, who make up nearly half of the state’s residents, according to the Public Policy Institute of California. 

The Renters Caucus, which was established in 2022, has since doubled in size from five members to 10.
