A San Francisco man who served in the Biden administration at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has been appointed by Gov. Gavin Newsom to a leadership role in California’s health care services.
Brian Kaplun was named deputy secretary for policy and strategic planning at the state’s Health and Human Services Agency, the governor’s office said Friday.
