Marin County has announced a move away from Nixle as its platform to send emergency alerts, saying people should now sign up at a new site to receive alerts about the county Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department.
The Marin County Office of Emergency Management recently sent out a message about the transition to AlertMarin and said people can sign up online.
