Oaklanders will be able to vote early and in person in their city’s April 15 special mayoral election this weekend, the Alameda County Registrar of Voters’ Office announced.
The registrar’s office and several of the city’s voting centers have been open for voting from Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., but will now also open on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Registrar’s Office is located inside the Rene C. Davidson Court House at 1225 Fallon Street, Room G-1, in Oakland.
The office and voting centers will also be open on Tuesday, April 15, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
People can find the voting center nearest to them by visiting the AC Vote website.
Voters can also drop off completed ballots at the “ballot drop stop” at 1225 Fallon Street in Oakland or any one of the 24-hour ballot drop box locations within the County of Alameda.

The candidates for mayor are former Oakland City Council member Loren Taylor, former U.S. Representative Barbara Lee, perennial local candidates Mindy Pechenuk and Peter Liu, former Olympian/comedian and barista Elizabeth Swaney, former mayor Sheng Thao advisor Renia Webb, Bay Area Council Vice President Suz Robinson, a woman named President Christina Grappo — who describes herself as a “provider” on her official ballot designation, paralegal Tyron Jordan, who has suspended his campaign, and union factory worker Eric Simpson.
