Showcasing all things STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math), this year’s fair theme is “Nature’s Innovations.” According to the Mendocino County Office of Education, the event organizer, the theme focuses on how the county “can lead the way in balancing the needs of both people and the planet.”

The free event will feature interactive exhibits and hands-on activities from myriad community partners, including the Mendocino College Agriculture Department, California Conservation Corps, California State Parks, the California Native Plant Society, the University of California, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the Mendocino County Museum, among others. Local food trucks will also be on hand, ensuring future innovators have full bellies during their fair explorations.
