Oakland has completed a $5 million project to renovate and beautify nine mini parks in historically underserved neighborhoods.
The effort, funded by Caltrans’ Clean California local grant program, transformed vandalized, overgrown spaces with resurfaced play areas, upgraded seating, new landscaping and shade trees. Six parks received new play equipment.
