The City of Sunnyvale has partnered with Santa Clara County Animal Services for animal sheltering after its previous shelter provider bowed out, city officials announced.
The new shelter partner is located at 12425 Monterey Road, San Martin.
The change comes after the Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) informed the city this past Tuesday that it would no longer provide sheltering services starting Saturday, Feb. 1.
In response, city officials quickly secured a new provider.
The transition to Santa Clara County Animal Services is effective immediately to ensure uninterrupted services for residents, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety said.
