Contra Costa County is looking for a new auditor-controller.
Robert Campbell announced his retirement this week after more than three decades working for the county.
Campbell will step down in March. He’s held the elected position since January 2011.
“We are incredibly grateful for Bob’s 30 years of service to the people of Contra Costa County,” said board chairperson and District 2 Supervisor Candace Andersen. “His integrity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence have been a hallmark of his tenure. We wish him all the best in this next chapter.”
The board of supervisors is required to appoint a qualified candidate to complete the remainder of Campbell’s term, which runs through 2027.
