Joybound People & Pets is helping animals forced from their homes by the Southern California wildfires by taking 31 dogs and a cat into their care at their Walnut Creek facility. 

The rescue organization said it responded to a call from Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control last week, welcoming the homeless pets Monday evening. Of the 31 dogs, 17 are puppies.
