A partnership of six Bay Area colleges has secured a $5.6 million grant to help people prepare for high-demand occupations as manufacturing technicians and machinists.
The grant will fund the Silicon Valley Advanced Manufacturing Partnership, according to an announcement Friday citing Foothill College, De Anza College, Evergreen Valley College, Mission College, Ohlone College and San Jose State University.
