The Novato Police Department has been awarded a $119,000 state grant for traffic safety enforcement, according to officials.
The grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety will support education, DUI checkpoints, officer training programs and various safety enforcement operations to try to reduce serious injuries and deaths on roads. The grant will fund programs through September 2025, according to a news release from the police department.
