Sandbag stations are open across Sonoma County as residents and businesses continue to prepare for possible flooding due to the atmospheric river currently battering the region.  

Residents and businesses must bring their own bags and shovels, unless noted otherwise. 

The County of Sonoma is sponsoring two sandbag stations, one at Sonoma County Fire District #7 at 6554 Mirabel Road in Forestville and a second at Monte Rio Fire Station at 9870 Main St. in Monte Rio. Bags are available. For more information call 2-1-1. 

The city of Healdsburg has a sandbag station for residents at the Healdsburg Community Center at 1557 Healdsburg Ave. Bags are provided. 

Sand is available at the Occidental Volunteer Fire Department at 3800 Bohemian Highway in Occidental. Call (707) 874-3800 for more information. 

Santa Rosa residents can find sand and bags at the City Municipal Services Center at 55 Stony Point Road. Residents must present IDs with a city of Santa Rosa address. Shovels are available. Call (707) 543-3800 during regular business hours or (707) 543-3805 during weekends and after hours for more information. 

In Petaluma, city residents can visit the City Corp Yard at 840 Hopper St. or Prince Park at 2301 E. Washington Blvd. for sand. Both sites have sandbags and shovels.  

Callinan Sports and Fitness Center at 5405 Synder Lane in Rohnert Park has sand and bags. Residents are limited to 25 lbs. per household. Call (707) 588-3307 for more information. 

The town of Windsor has a sandbag station at the Public Works Corporation Yard at 8400 Windsor Road. Bags are available.  

The city of Sonoma has a sandbag station at Depot Park at 270 First St. West. City residents can pick up 10 free bags at Sonoma City Hall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call (707) 933-2218 for more information.
