In a see-saw race for Pleasant Hill’s open District 1 City Council seat, Belle La has taken a 24-vote lead over Marshall Lewis, according to the latest vote tallies released Wednesday by Contra Costa County election officials.
Lewis led on Election Night, but La came back the next day to lead by eight votes. Lewis led by eight votes on Friday. Five days later, La is up again, 50.5% to 49.5% (1,216 votes to 1,192 votes).
