A cake cutting, a marching band and dance performances — all free — are scheduled to kick off the public celebration of San Francisco’s Legion of Honor’s 100th anniversary this Saturday.
The event is the first of 12 months of free music and dance performances, lectures and movies in honor of the institution’s opening on Nov. 11, 1924.
