Pittsburg City Councilmember Shanelle Scales-Preston has a slight lead over Antioch City Councilmember Mike Barbanica in the runoff race to succeed Federal Glover on the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors but the race remains too close to call, according to initial results released by the county Tuesday.Â
Early returns have Scales-Preston with a 50.94% lead over Barbanica’s 49.06%. About 41,000 votes had been counted by approximately 8:15 p.m. Tuesday.
