Zac Unger was leading the vote to replace departing Oakland City Councilmember Dan Kalb with a little more than 77% of the vote for the District 1 seat, based on early returns from the Alameda County Registrar of Voters Office.
As of about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, Unger was leading Len Raphael, who had about 16% of the vote, and Edward Frank, who had about 7%, with almost 8,000 votes counted out of the district’s 44,642 registered voters.
