Walnut Creek City Council incumbents Cindy Darling and Kevin Wilk were ahead in the race for two open council seats, with one newcomer not far behind, according to the initial results from Tuesday’s election.
Darling had 27.39& of the vote (16,869 votes) to fellow incumbant Kevin Wilk’s 25.87% (15,933).
Emergency room doctor Craig DeVinney was within striking distance, with 21.8% (13,447 votes).
Rounding out the field is Laura Patch with 13.95% (8,570 votes) and Brendan Moran, with 10.98% (6,763 votes).
