San Francisco’s bus and light-rail transit system, which struggled to bring back riders after the coronavirus pandemic, has passed 500,000 average daily boardings for the first time since February 2020, the Municipal Transportation Agency said.
Average weekday boardings in September hit 521,000, or 74% of September 2019 levels, and weekend ridership was 92%, Muni said.
