Parking on El Camino Real in Palo Alto will be prohibited between Sand Hill Road and San Antonio Avenue for a week beginning Monday for repaving, Caltrans said.
Overnight work on the road, also known as state Highway 82, will run from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. on southbound lanes and 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. on northbound lanes, Caltrans said in a press release Friday.
Crews will be grinding and paving in both directions in stretches moving south and lane closure will be required, Caltrans said.
Access to sidewalks, curb ramps and several driveways will be limited or restricted while the work takes place, according to the highway agency.
The work is weather dependent. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra travel time.
