Pinole officials have promoted a longtime-serving law enforcement commander as the city’s acting police chief, city officials said.
Pinole Commander Matt Avery was formally promoted to Acting Police Chief, filling in for soon-to-retire Police Chief Neil Gang, city officials said in a Tuesday statement.
