A $1 million vintage concept car was destroyed in a fire along with the trailer it was being towed in Sunday in Monterey, minutes after it had been on public display at a nearby car show.

Crews with the Monterey Fire Department responded to the vehicle fire at about 7 p.m. on the Munras Avenue off-ramp from northbound Highway 1, according to fire officials.
