Several streets in the city of Fairfield will have new speed limits in the coming days following a public survey.
The changes are about halfway complete, according to the Fairfield Police Department.
The speed limit on Airbase Parkway will be 50 mph and the limit on Business Center Drive will be 40 mph.
Beck Avenue from state Highway 12 to West Texas Street will have a new limit of 35 mph.
Streets moving to a 30 mph limit include North Texas Street, East Tabor Avenue from North Texas Street to Sunset Avenue, East Travis Boulevard from North Texas Street to Sunset Avenue, West Texas Street from Oliver Road to Pennsylvania Avenue, Pennsylvania Avenue, and Travis Boulevard from Interstate Highway 80 to Pennsylvania Avenue.
Streets that will have a new speed limit of 25 mph are Cement Hill Road from North Texas Street to Dover Avenue and East Tabor Avenue from Sunset Avenue to Claybank Road.
The Fairfield Police Department recommended that drivers look for the posted limits as the changes are made.
