The Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District Governing Board has approved the employment agreement for new superintendent Jennifer Sachs, solidifying her appointment to the position.
This decision follows the FSUSD Governing Board’s unanimous approval of Sachs’ appointment on March 28.
During a meeting Thursday, the FSUSD Governing Board approved a work deal for Sachs that includes a three-year term with a beginning salary of $270,000. The employment term will start on May 1 through June 30, 2027, the school district said.
“The Governing Board is excited to welcome our new superintendent, Jennifer Sachs, to FSUSD. We are confident that her extensive experience and dedication to educational excellence will propel our schools to new heights. We look forward to working collaboratively to ensure the success of every student,” board president Bethany Smith said in a statement.
According to FSUSD, Sachs has 28 years of experience in public education, starting as an instructional aide before becoming a teacher, coordinator, principal, and then director of curriculum and instruction.
In her last role as chief of educational services at the Mt. Diablo Unified School District, she led the educational services department for over 28,500 students across various levels and programs, the school district said.
