Starting May 1, applications for Stockton’s 2024 commercial cannabis business lottery will open, city officials said Friday.

The city said they issue permits that are specifically for commercial cannabis businesses through the annual lottery system.

Four new commission use permits will be allowed — two for cannabis dispensaries with storefront retail and two for other cannabis microbusinesses, the city said.

Applications can be completed on the city’s permitting portal or in person at 345 N. El Dorado St.

Anyone applying will have to pay $200 for each application submission. The application period will close on May 30.
