Solano County Supervisor Mitch Mashburn and his colleague, Supervisor Monica Brown, likely held on to their seats on the county Board of Supervisors in Tuesday’s election.
Both Mashburn, representing District 5, and Brown, representing District 2, had more than 50 percent of the vote Tuesday to avoid a runoff in November, according to preliminary results released by the county.
Former Vallejo city councilmember Michael Wilson was narrowly ahead of Cassandra James for the board’s open District 1 seat after Erin Hannigan opted not to run for another term.
With all precincts reportedly counted, Wilson was beating James, the current vice chair of the Vallejo Housing and Community Development Commission, with 4,422 (50.8 percent) votes to James’ 4,283 (49.2 percent) votes.
Brown finished the evening with 6,935 votes (54.85 percent) ahead of challengers Rochelle Sherlock (3,750 votes) and Nora Dizon (1,959 votes)
Mashburn finished with 7,304 votes (62.69 percent) to challenger Chadwick Ledoux’s 4,347 votes.
