In the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2022 Dobbs v. Jackson decision that overturned , the federal protection of legal abortion, California will be implementing several new laws in 2024 to strengthen reproductive rights in the state.
Abortion remains legal in California, but the state will now extend some protections to women who may travel here from anti-abortion states that have outlawed or severely curtailed women’s access to safe and legal abortion.
