Silicon Valley minimum wage workers say pay bump doesn’t keep up with rising expenses

THE MINIMUM WAGE went up across Silicon Valley this month, but it won’t be high enough to cover the rising expenses of daily living.

Although minimum wage is going up as high as $18.55 in Sunnyvale, workers and business owners say the increases aren’t enough to make a dent in the region’s expensive rent and other expenditures.
