The City of San Rafael will continue work on Third Street improvements starting Monday by planting street trees on Third Street and median trees on Second Street.
Crews will apply striping and markers, and energize the pedestrian safety streetlights on Second Street between West Street and Miramar Avenue.
New traffic signals at Third Street and Brooks Street, and at Second Street and Fourth Street will also be activated.
Temporary signs, message boards, traffic cones, delineators and detour signs will be put in place to direct motorists through the work area.
Lanes on Third Street and Second Street westbound will be closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Traffic on Second Street eastbound will be closed from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
