Community engagement events in relation to a two-year transportation study for the Stevens Creek Boulevard/West San Carlos corridor will be held on Nov. 29 and Dec. 7.

Santa Clara County, the cities of Santa Clara, San Jose and Cupertino, and the Santa Clara County and the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority are conducting the community-based study.

“The goal is to create a vision that focuses on complete streets, multi-modal transportation improvements, and possible high-capacity transit options to connect Diridon Station in San Jose through Santa Clara to the De Anza College/Highway 85 area in Cupertino,” according to a release from the city of Santa Clara.

Opportunities to learn more about the project include a webinar on the vision statement development, set for Nov. 29. A session in English will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., to be followed with one in Spanish from 7 to 8 p.m.

Registration is required for the webinar and can be found on the project website.

On Dec. 7, a community advisory group meeting is scheduled from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Santa Clara Central Park Library, 2635 Homestead Road in Santa Clara.

The project will release Survey #2 soon to solicit feedback on the development of a Vision Statement.
