People can choose the adoption fee amount they’d like to pay for all cats and kittens this weekend at the SPCA Monterey County.

During the “It’s Raining Cats and Kittens Adoption Event,” the public can pick from 239 felines currently living at the facility at 1002 state Highway 68, also known as the Monterey-Salinas Highway.

Those who want to help the organization but don’t want to adopt a cat can participate in its “Glitz and Glamour Jewelry Event” at the SPCA Benefit Shop this weekend.

“The event offers silver, vintage, heirloom and quality costume jewelry, designer clothing (some with tags still on), designer shoes and handbags, holiday décor and so much more,” SPCA officials said in a news release.

The SPCA Benefit Shop is at 26364 Carmel Rancho in Carmel. For more information, people can call 831-373-2631 or visit www.SPCAmc.org.
